Day 13: Taking the Junior Ranger Oath & One Last Lighthouse

Travel Tip #9: It's always fun to travel, but it's even better to go home.

VM: She did it! EM is an official Junior Ranger of the Cape Cod National Seashore.  It's about her 3rd or 4th time garnering the National Park Service's Junior Ranger honor, but it's always just as fun. The park ranger, Ms. Jenna in this case, reviewed the booklet completed by EM and talked to her about all the things she learned.  They then read an oath together to protect our lands and EM earned her Cape Cod National Seashore patch.

After this accomplishment, we headed to see our FINAL lighthouse of our trip -- the Nauset Light.  It's claim to fame -- it's the lighthouse featured on Cape Cod chips!

We were blessed with a beautiful and safe trip.  Feeling lucky to have experienced it all, we are now ready to go home and see our family -- human, canine and feline!

One last look at Cape Cod's beautiful landscape at the Salt Pond Visitor's Center.

Recognize this lighthouse!?! Photo creds: HM
